Bet365 has expanded into the online sports betting scene in Indiana, while BlueBet has also increased its presence in the US by introducing its ClutchBet brand in Louisiana. Indiana marks the eighth market in the US for Bet365, while BlueBet and ClutchBet are currently active in three states across the US.
Bet365’s launch in Indiana is the result of a partnership with the French Lick Resort land-based casino, allowing players to register for a new Bet365 account and begin betting on a wide range of sports and competitions. This expansion adds to Bet365’s existing presence in Kentucky, Louisiana, Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Iowa, and Colorado.
BlueBet’s ClutchBet brand has now commenced operations in Louisiana, joining existing operations in Iowa and Colorado. The company’s entry into Louisiana is in partnership with the Louisiana Downs casino and horseracing track. CEO Bill Richmond of BlueBet describes the launch in Louisiana as a pivotal point in the company’s successful presence in the US market.
BlueBet also continues to progress toward the second stage of its US market entry, focusing on the launch of a white-labeled B2B sportsbook-as-a-solution offer. This move aims to further engage with potential B2B partners and expand its reach in the US market.
Regarding the situation in Indiana and Louisiana, it is notable that both states have seen substantial activity and competition in their respective sports betting markets. Indiana reported record revenue and handle for December, while Louisiana also experienced record sports betting handle and monthly revenue. Notably, Bet365 was the last operator to launch in Louisiana before BlueBet.
These expansions highlight the dynamic and competitive nature of the sports betting industry in the US, with multiple operators vying for market share and engaging with state regulations to offer their services to sports enthusiasts. The successful entry and growth of Bet365 and BlueBet in these states reflect the continued growth and potential of the online sports betting market in the US.
