Alea, a casino aggregator and platform provider, is making changes to its management team, with founder Alexandre Tomic transitioning to a non-executive role as Jordi Sendra steps into the position of chief executive officer.
During his time as CEO, Tomic led Alea to become a global business with operations across Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Tomic expressed his desire to take on a new role in the industry, sharing the insights he has gained and taking on a leadership role during a time of significant change. In addition to his ambassadorial role, Tomic will focus on strategic projects within the company.
Sendra, who has been serving as COO since 2021, brings experience from the industrial manufacturing and business consultancy sectors to his new role as CEO. He sees this transition as a natural progression as Tomic moves into his strategic role and looks forward to building on the work that has been done.
As Sendra moves into the CEO role, Ramon Glieneke will replace him as COO. Glieneke joins Alea from Apartum, an aggregation business in the travel industry, bringing extensive experience and a deep understanding of API aggregation to the company. Tomic has been vocal about the importance of bringing in talent from outside the gaming industry, creating a welcoming environment that prioritizes staff well-being to make the gaming industry attractive to professionals in other sectors. With Glieneke joining as the new COO, Alea continues this tradition of bringing in outside talent.
The company’s new CEO, Jordi Sendra, has discussed Alea’s global ambitions in a video series, outlining the focus on global expansion. These changes in leadership signal a strategic shift for Alea as it looks to bring in new talent and continue its global growth.
