Niklas Lindahl, the global chief marketing officer at LeoVegas Group, has resigned from his position at the operator after nearly six years with the company. He has held various roles since joining in April 2018, including managing director for Italy, head of MGA markets, general manager for Europe and North America, and most recently, global chief marketing officer in August 2021.

Before his time at LeoVegas, Lindahl worked as head of international development at Gruppo DigiTouch, CEO of Optimized Group, and country manager for Italy at Just Search Italy, among other positions.

In a LinkedIn post announcing his departure, Lindahl expressed gratitude for his colleagues at LeoVegas, saying, “Thank you for the most amazing five years in my career; it has been a great ride. I will miss you all. LeoVegas is a one-of-a-kind company and having worked there has been a privilege.”

Lindahl also thanked LeoVegas CEO, Gustaf Hagman, for the opportunity to enter the industry and for showing him what leadership is all about.

As Lindahl exits LeoVegas, the operator is set for a busy 2024 following several recent developments. In August, LeoVegas partnered with MGM Resorts International to launch the BetMGM brand in the UK, utilizing LeoVegas technology and platform, after being acquired by MGM Resorts in September 2022 for $604m.

Additionally, LeoVegas completed its acquisition of a majority stake in games developer Push Gaming in September last year. The company also announced its return to the Netherlands with the launch of its new Dutch-facing website,, offering a range of online casino games, live casino, and sports betting after securing a new license in the country in July.

LeoVegas previously operated in the Netherlands before the country regulated its online gambling market, and they had halted their activities just days before the market opened on October 1, 2021.
