Light & Wonder, a gambling technology giant, has made a strategic investment in Flows, a no-code automation platform, to accelerate growth and scale up operations in markets worldwide. The exact amount of the investment was not disclosed but it builds on an existing relationship between the two companies.
Flows uses automation software to support businesses with development and integrations. With the investment from Light & Wonder, Flows plans to accelerate its own development and roll out new products faster in new markets. This investment comes after Flows recently launched a new voice-activated tool, allowing for omni-channel jackpots to be built from speech or text.
According to Light & Wonder’s igaming CEO Dylan Slaney, the investment in Flows was a logical next step after witnessing the power of Flows’ technology through its network jackpots feature. Slaney expressed the group’s delight in offering support and backing to Flows.
Flows CEO James King also expressed excitement for the partnership, stating that with the backing of Light & Wonder, the company can expedite its path to becoming a worldwide leader in codeless automation solutions. He also acknowledged the hard work of the Flows team in building up the business to its current state.
This strategic investment comes as Light & Wonder reshapes and refocuses its igaming division. Dylan Slaney, who has quickly risen through the ranks in the gaming industry, now heads up igaming for Light & Wonder. The company has emerged as a more focused gaming business across three divisions: land-based, social casino arm SciPlay, and iGaming.
Overall, the investment in Flows marks a significant move for Light & Wonder as it seeks to solidify its position in the gambling technology industry and continue to grow and innovate in new markets.
