Truckee Gaming, the owner and operator of locals-oriented casinos in Nevada, has added its 10th gambling property in the state with the acquisition of Rail City Casino. The completion of the acquisition from Affinity Interactive and its affiliates marks a significant expansion for Truckee Gaming, which now boasts over 2,600 slot machines across its portfolio. Financial terms of the transaction, which was agreed upon in March 2023, were not disclosed.
Rail City Casino, located in Sparks, has approximately 24,000 square feet of gaming space with over 400 slot machines, a keno lounge, and dining options. The addition of this property to Truckee Gaming’s portfolio further solidifies its presence in the Nevada gambling market.
Andrei Scrivens, CEO of Affinity Interactive, expressed gratitude to the employees of Rail City Casino and wished them the best of luck under Truckee Gaming’s stewardship. Scrivens also emphasized Affinity Interactive’s focus on its remaining gaming properties, Daily Racing Form, and new investment opportunities. He highlighted the company’s commitment to pursuing compelling investment opportunities that align with its growth strategy and offer customers innovative gaming experiences.
The completion of the Rail City Casino acquisition coincided with a decline in slots revenue in Nevada for the month of September. Despite this decline, overall gambling revenue in the state saw a 1.6% year-on-year increase to $1.27 billion. Slots remained the primary source of revenue, generating $814.6 million, although this figure represented a 5.1% decrease compared to the same month last year.
Truckee Gaming’s expansion with the addition of Rail City Casino reflects its continued investment in the Nevada gambling market, while Affinity Interactive’s strategic focus on its remaining properties and investment opportunities positions the company for future success. The acquisition aligns with Truckee Gaming’s mission to provide value, entertainment, and variety to its customers while contributing to the growth and innovation of the local gambling industry.
